We have gathered here all the music composed by the composer for short films. We will not only find all his verve, but also his ability to create scary and humorous acoustic situations, simple and sensitive, which delighted the directors with whom he had the honor to work. The interest of a compilation as unbridled in its mode of organization, otherwise the alphabetical, is that it allows to travel from one atmosphere to another, as in a movie. Certainly, we are here transported through all its sources of inspiration, from concrete music to the very contrapuntal classical organization, which have helped to make the master a collaborator sought by the most demanding filmmakers.
The short film is not an antechamber of the feature film. It's a genre in itself. The composer does not have time to develop long speeches. It's necessary to speak briefly but just, as in a creation for advertising. The musician learns the efficiency of writing for atmospheres that must be installed immediately. Needless to say, this is a great school for all the movie trades. In unpaid work and virtually without professional risk, otherwise that of gaining or losing a reputation, the image technician will nevertheless benefit in the short film of a visibility in the dedicated festivals where the filmmaker travels.
Here, many of the films in which the composer has participated have won awards in famous festivals (click on the star to the left of the title above), as far as Japan, like the Bertrand de Croisilles' GROLLES which was one of the most enriching collaborations of the composer.
