"To work around a silent film orchestration project"
In order to propose to Spinassiens (Epinay-sur-Seine people) always more appointment, the cultural structures of the city imagine collective events regularly. To mix original music and cinema, such is the objective of this evening. For the occasion, the academy municipal called upon the composer-orchestrater Francois Serveniere who has collaborated for several years with the director of the Musical Academy, Benoit Schlosberg around projects of silent film orchestration. This one imagined and wrote musical topics which will be interpreted by the musicians of the Academy orchestra. They will accompany three police films on line, a beautiful way to the silent film emotions revival. For Francois Serveniere "to work on silent films asks the composer to completely illustrate the cinematographic matter by music expressionnist. (...) To return directly in the image, to speak in the place about the situations and the characters".
The police intrigues thus lend particularly well to this type of accompaniment.
